Edit International was founded in 1969 by Ron Laytner, a freelance writer/photographer whose work ran each month in as many as 300 magazines and newspapers around the world. [To mention just a few - Stern Magazine in Germany, VSD and Paris Match in France, The Mail On Sunday in London, The Irish Times in Ireland, The Sydney Morning Herald, Singapore Straits Times, Panorama in Holland and Belgium, Vi Menn in Norway, Sonntags Zeitung in Zurich, Chicago Tribune, Deseret News, San Francisco Chronicle and papers across Canada, La Nacion in Argentina etc. from the massive Bild Zeitung in Hamburg down to the Hamilton Spectator.]

Mr. Laytner was born in Canada and began his career at The Toronto Star. After winning the National Newspaper Award, the Canadian version of
the Pulitzer Prize, he left for Europe and Life Magazine. He went on to Paris Match, The London Sunday Times, and was syndicated by the
New York Times Service. Then Ron Laytner went out on his own, forming Edit International and syndicating himself and a few other good writers and photographers.

Today Edit International syndicates to almost every country on Earth and its writers are published in over 30 languages. Ron Laytner's son Lance, also a syndicated journalist, joined the company in 1998 and now is the syndication manager of the New York City Office.

Now the father and son team are continuing to expand Edit International, every day adding new newspapers and magazines and the world's top writers and photographers.
